My artwork is friendly, engaging, playful, and more importantly it is educational and persuasive. My goal is to create art that not only sends a message but also allows the audience to learn and digest the information at their own rate. I work to give a voice to the natural world which has been silenced and abused, to inspire change and to ignite a desire to live healthier lives.
What is UpSculting
Combining upcycling and sculpting to create environmentally conscious art to educate and engage the public regarding issues surrounding marine debris. We remove plastics from beaches and bring attention to the problem, while creating beauty from waste.
Upsculpt communicates through different modalities using visual art and educational workshops to expose the problem while presenting solutions through hands-on training. Participants learn about plastics in the ocean and use marine debris to create their own unique sculptures.
